Just painted some skirting and window board with Eggshell from Wickes, thinking that it's be a non-gloss finish. However, now its dried, its still quite shiny and not the look I wanted.
Existing door frames and skirting board in the house have a matt finish to them, and I assumed this was Eggshell. Whilst I was in Wickes I saw some stuff called 'Satin' - would this be what I'm after? Think Dulux do similar stuff called Satinwood.
Now I've alreayd painted one coat of eggshell (and I planned on 2 coats), can I simply paint over with a single coat or should I do 2 coats of satin?

P.S Whats the best way to avoid brush marks in the finish, I'm applying as evenly as I can but I can still see brush marks all over it when it's dried. A gloss roller perhaps?
