Electric Commuter bike

Around £6000 and approx 50 miles range according to some reports, the bike has a power tweaker so that you can have power in range of 40%-100% with power drain accordingly. One clever aspect is you can download the performance from the bike to a PC and tweak it and upload it back to customise the power to performance ratio to suit the way you ride.

Usual license I presume ??
Not sure what group it'll end up in , perhaps a new group? it has no gears or clutch as such from what i understand just twist and go, but as its a bike with minimal protection I wonder if you'll still need a full motor bike licence, its rated the same HP as a 250cc Kwacky ninja.

Yeah read that bit but couldnt see anything bout the license ...

I quite like it 8)

I've got a feeling it may do well over here.
Maybe not for the establish motorcyclist but the advertising seems to me to appeal to the ipod/gadget generation which is a huge market.

At least the original 'stig' has found a new job...

I suppose if you squint your eyes tightly enough it looks a bit like an old velocette....maybe not

I'd get one, if I had somewhere to put it and charge it :( Oh, and the right sort of license, whatever that turns out to be. 50 mile range is great for getting to work. I can park it in the warehouse next to a plug socket, then its free to run. Only thing is, the top speed of 50mph (did i read that right?) will leave a lot of people wanting more (and slow down traffic on open roads - you ever seen a M/B do 50 on a country road?)

better for urban roads but i wonder if it would be allowed on motorways?it has the rating of a 250cc so i wonder?
