I have a galaxy G90005 electric shower in my small studio flat. It has four heat settings 6 to 9, the temperature is the same no matter how high I turn it up, it just stays at the same luke warm temperature, I measured the water temperature this morning and it was 32c. Now the weather is getting colder it's really not hot enough and I have to shower super quick and it's quite unpleasant. I tried to get the landlord to look at it but he says it's just because it's an electric shower, but why would they sell a shower with four heat settings if none of them work!

If anyone has any technical knowledge about this that I can use as a case for getting a plumber in to look at it I would be very grateful.

Hi there,

I dont know i this will help but this is the telephone number for Galaxy Showers 01684 293 311, try giving them a ring. They should be able to give you more advice.

Thanks but I tried that number and no one answers and the email addresses don't work!

Some electric showers have more than one heater element, and switch them on or off to select the temperature.

If one element has failed, the shower may only work at a low setting, whatever is selected.

http://www.showerdoc.co.uk might be worth a look.

You may have a feeble 7.5 kw model, this will not cope with the cold water temp we get in this country even when running correctly, demand you l/lord sorts it, that what you pay your rent for.
