Hi,

Looking to fit wooden flooring over electric UFH. Substrate is a mix of concrete and timber, with moisture of <2% - but might not stay that low, so thinking a DPM would be a good idea.

Is it better to float on a DPM/underlay Or, glue down a plastic DPM and then glue flooring onto it?

Advice appreciated!

(Presumably would be completely mad to go for solid wood instead of engineered?)

Haven't done this for a very long time so things may have changed, but I would say floating engineered boards on underlay - but the very best advice will be given by the board supplier.
