Hi,
wasn’t sure which forum to post this in, so here goes.
I need about 1.5sqm of electric underfloor heating for my bathroom. Been advised that the IR stuff is quite good.
I’ve recently replaced the floorboards with 22mm chipboard (green stuff from B&Q).
I have LVT as the finished floor which according to its spec, is graded to accept electric heating below it.
So, here are the questions that I’d appreciate advice on:

  1. What heating mats/loose cable to use? It will need be a rectangular shape but cut out in one corner to shape around the toilet seat
  2. What underlay if any? (Hardboard or ply for levelment?)
  3. Do I use flexible self-levelling compound on top prior to installing the LVT?
  4. What thermostat to use that is alexa compatible?

Many thanks for all advice offered.
