Hi
Can anyone give me diagrams and descriptions of the following electrical switches (laymans terms)please
1, Single-pole
2,double-pole
3,one-way
4,two-way
5,double-gang
6,intermediate

I am very confused with all of this.

Many Thanks in advance

1, Single-pole, only switches the live conductor not the neutral (on/off)
2,double-pole, switches/isolates both live and neutral
3,one-way, only one switch can operate a light
4,two-way, two switches can operate the same light
5,double-gang, the face plate has two switches on it or sockets outlets
6,intermediate, this is used with two way switches and allows more than two switches to operate the same light.
