Im doing an electronics project and theres not really a brief.

I can do whatever as long as its pretty simple but really stuck for ideas.

I was going to do a guitar tuner but apparently thats not possible. If you can help me with that then that's also appreciated.

We really need to know:
1: is this a project for a course? if so what course and at what level?
2: what is your level of knowlage of electronics?
3: what is the budget, are there any components provided free?

Why is a guitar tuner not possible?

Look around your house & identify a non mains item that you need?
I.E. kitchen timer etc.
