End of the road for the space shuttle

We're in Florida once a year for 3 weeks but never there when a launch is due. Is it still worth going to the centre for a day out or is there not much to do?

Our cancelled tickets offered 'free' entry into Cape Canaveral Centre, although having already seen it previously we had no desire to see it again. It would be worth seeing once but over an hours drive from Kissimee it really does take up a full day

Seriously I did it on a Harley, not too long to get there. But does take a day out of the way.
Well worth going.
Also Cocoa beach, about half way between.

~Thought the space station was being kept. Just awaiting the new delivery system.
