I have had my Epson R220 for about 2 years. Recently when I tried to print a document it came up with a warning box stating that certain parts in the printer needed to be serviced. With the cost of service repairs it will be much cheaper to buy a new printer so do you have any recommendations, needs to be a photo printer or is there something I could do to this printer to get it working again?
Thanks in advance.

I believe that it is possible that you may be able to get your printer back to normal via Epson Service Utility software which can be downloaded via.

I do not have personal experience but based on a report from a colleague he has dealt with several Epsons. If I understand correctly there is either an ink pad or a waste ink tank that will need to be replaced otherwise you could flood your printer.

Thanks Tony,
have got the same site recommendation from PCAdvisor forum so will let you know how I get on with it.
Have to go out now to visit grandkids so will try later tonight.
Once again, thanks for the link.
