Hi Folks
I`m about to render my new house with 10mm scratchcoat, 10mm powerwall smoothband then 1.5mm sandfinish coat.
Could anyone advise me with what sizes of beads to use and is it best to fix them direct to blockwork before scratchcoating or onto the scratchcoat with dabs?
Do I need to leave a gap where the render meets the soffit? Be it with a stopbead and mastic or an expansion bead? Or can I have the render directly up to the soffit? I`m concerned render might eventually crack this way
Sorry bout all the questions folks, but I have a plasterer doing my render seeing as it is a smooth finish, I have the utmost confidence in him as I have seen his interior work, but he has never done an exterior job and doesn`t know much about beading.
Cheers, SeumasMor.
