I purchased a house some months ago which i've been renovating. I have just noticed that the water in the expansion tank in the airing cupboard is getting very hot . The cold water supply coming from the ET is also very hot. The CWS goes down to a funny looking connector, the connector has three branches off it, one to the pump, one from the CWS, one i prusume to/from boiler. Can any1 help?

You may have a 'Primatic' Hot Tank/Cold Tank that has lost its bubble.
You may have a Fortic tank?
Have you fitted a mixer tap recently using cold main pressure Vs Hot tank pressure?
Is your boiler temperature set too high, causing boiling?
Is an Immersion heater constantly ON, causing boiling due to a faulty thermostat?
