expiry date of adhesive

can anyone tell me how strict you need to be with the use by date of adhesive, due to the weather i've been delayed in some work and now have 10 bags of adhesive with an expiry date of mid feb.

mixed a sample and it seemed to to workable for about 60min, but will it affect the strength also?

Usually board adhesive is quiet good for keeping it's performance levels, even when expiry was long elapsed.

If it's been stored in cold and damp and it was off it would heat up like mad when mixed and go off like a rocket.
