Hi all, the previous owner of my house has had the garage door moved, which means there is about a metre of asphalt floor and no proper border to the outside. I would like to replace the asphalt with concrete and move the bricks next to the gutter, underneath the garage door. Eventually, I'll want to seal the floor with epoxy or something similar.

What would best be used to pour in place of the asphalt? Do I need some kind of damp proof layer? How do I join the existing concrete floor to the new stuff, does it need something flexible in between to avoid crumbling when driving over it?

Many thanks for any advice!
