I am wanting to create more space in the smallest bedroom by extending over the stairs using that space as a base for a single bed. Unlike a lots of houses there isnt already an overstairs cupboard in the room so it will be being created from scratch. My question is whether structural work is needed or can it all be done with timber frames, studs etc? Is this a job for a builder or a carpenter? Thanks
