I have a 5m x4m drive but want to extend it 500mm on to the grass side , was thinking is it best to dig down 200 mm put 100mm of hardcore down then 100mm concrete ..was going to shutter it on the side with battens does this sound ok ?

I would go deeper with the hardcore. And compact the hardcore.
