Hi not sure on how I should go about repairing this patch of missing render and also to fill/cover over render cracks.

do I get a render repair kit from b&q or can I just use cheaper multi purpose motar?, or should i be mixing my own sand/cement render?, the old render that's fallen off seems quite thick so will I need a scratch coat then top coat to finish?

what is the correct black paint that I should use, is it weathershield exterior?

Pic 1. shows that the render was not correctly applied - its not bonded to the brickwork. The render is also in ground contact.

Clean up the patch corner as best you can.

Buy a bag of sand and cement from a plumbing supplier's, and prep the patch with a 1:1 S&C slurry, then while the slurry is tacky apply a first coat of S&C. After allowing the first coat to dry apply a second coat.

The render should be cut back from ground contact wherever it touches the ground.

The black paint you propose will probably be fine but first check in the painter's forum?

so a plastering sand and cement mix is the better option? ,thanks
