I'm installing a fan on the top of my woodburner twin wall flue.

What should I be looking to do with the cable? It needs to run down the wall and through to the control inside the house. I'm happy with the lower section which I can clip to the flue brackets or the wall.

The top section extends about 2.5m above the highest support bracket and that's the bit that would be flailing about in the wind.

I could clip it to the support stay which is 1.5m up with another 1m rising above to the fan - would that be ok?

Think I'd run a galvanised conduit up, fit the saddles on the flue brackets and set it the same as the flue.
You'd need a sparky for that route, as you'd need a pipe vice and threader.

You could use con lock bends?

The temperature drop is going to be significant outside so zip tie the (suitable exterior) cable to brackets fitted to the flue ensuring a degree of separation between the two
