External Paint and Synthaproof

Hi
I have a gable end wall that has a few thin but long cracks in the render. A friend has advised (as a short/medium term repair) to fill the cracks and then coat with Synthaproof. My question is, can I paint over Synthaproof with an external masonary paint?

You maybe able to paint over it with a water based exterior paint .But I don't think you can put oil-based on it. I would try a small section with your exterior paint and see if it "takes"...
