first time trying this and wanted to make sure i got this right.

It's for my double garage brick wall , so my plan is :

- stop bead at each end and 1 in the middle ( to be able to work in sections ) , 15mm bead
- apply thin coat , embed mesh , top up to 8m or so (weberend OCR)
- scratch the coat
- apply second coat to 15mm limit of stop bead , level as best i can (weberend OCR)
- apply 1.5mm of silicon render in desire colour (webersil TF)

That's the plan , but should the second coat be up to the stop bead ( 15mm) or it should be lower so that the silicon one finishes to 15mm ?

just reading more , i think 15mm might be a bit too much. 10-12mm will do it , considering most of the beads i found are either 10/12mm or 18/20mm. I've looked at silicon systems(ewi pro) , and that one is a bit different. They recommend a layer of : mortar upto 10mm , 6mm basecoat and 1.5 mm silicon.

Don’t scratch the base coat, it’s a one coat render so just 2 passes to build it up to the bead thickness in one go. Wet on wet, not like a scratch coat.
