Hello.

I want to move my 240v outdoor light.
And the cable needs to be extended externally.

What is the current best practice for this?

A) Use UV resistant cable clipped direct to the wall.
B) Place cable in trunking.
C) Other?

Cable will be 3m above ground.
Light will be std 50w LED flood.

I intend to run the supply to a local JB near the light to aid future repair and replacement.

The house MB and CU are RCD, RCBO protected including PEN.

Thoughts gladly appreciated

At that height flex clipped to the wall will be fine. Remember drip loops where the flex enters the fitting and the jb.

Thank you for the reply :)

I had thought that to be the case but wanted reassuring.
