Extractor fan

Not sure if this should be in building, electrical or plumbing so I'll start with building!

I'm in the process of building a small down stairs loo. It will contain only a toilet and a sink. There is no window so do I need an extractor fan? I.e. is it law?

You need to provide ventilation. As there is no window, you will have to install an extractor fan to ensure compliance with the Building Regs.

even if it were not building law, i would be inclined to fit an extractor anyhow!

regardless, you are required to provide ventilation as per building control requirements.
