For the final 8 GP's of 17 total in 2007, being around half the season.

Raikkonen.. 68 pts
Alonso........ 59 pts
Hamilton..... 45 pts

No mean feat for Kimi, 1st season for Ferrari, being a top driver he must have been expected to improve during the year... He did.

If ever, following the mess up by Mclaren, the writing was on the wall, then the final 8 results show just that.
Kimi outscored Hammer by 23 pts... If next season is a continuation with everyone improving at about the same rate. We have to expect Raikkonen and Alonso to be battling it out for the title... Do not be surprised if that should be the case.
The Hammer, a brilliant opening season, but did lady luck play her seductive part ? Forgetting the media frenzy, Alonso and Raikkonen were both in new teams, needing to 'get their eye in' as the results for the final half of the season eminently show. Kimi was always kapable - Mclaren couldn't deliver for him, now two new names join the list.

Although never easy, it will be more difficult for the Hammer in 2008.

Next year will probably be Hamilton's year I believe.

2008 sees a rule change that removes the traction control units from the cars, this has been in use for some yrs in slightly different ways, also there are aerodynamic changes which should enable more overtaking opportunities!!!

As Hamilton has had only 1 yr with these devices and comes from a formula where they where not used he should not need to 're-learn' how to drive the car unlike all of the others who have had many yrs of being a passenger in a car that does all of the work.

Lets face it even though this year was more exciting than previous years it was still follow my leader from flag to flag with only really unreliability and mistakes making the changes.
 
There were 1 or 2 good races. I hope the rule changes will bring maybe another team into the equation.
Lets hope Jenson gets a decent car.
 
Kimi is a good old fashioned racer .. f'k the chat, drive the wheels off then off to the boozer for the craic...
