I’ve met him before. He was a lot smaller than I thought he would be. RIP champ.

Saw him at Silverstone in a classic car race probably about 2012 or so. Competitors going like crazy so they could tell their grandkids they had overtaken Sir Stirling Moss. Great sight to watch drive round the track waving to the crowd and obviously enjoying being behind the wheel.

I felt sorry for the old fella when he fell down a lift shaft in his house when the was 80 years old! Broke both ankles.

Great ambassador for the sport and a very intelligent bloke.
He designed an armchair that he could sit in at home and 'drive' it around his lounge using a small joystick, long before the wheelchair versions came out.
RIP Sir. It has been a pleasure watching you all these years and your inspiration will continue to live on in the younger generations.
