Hi, my boiler has been little used in the last 2 years but has generaly become less and less reliable. A friend of mine has done some fault diag on it and thinks I need a new gas valve. If I turn the hot water on we get hot(ish) for a minute or so and then it goes cold. If you leave the tap on for at least another 5 minutes it starts to warm up again but never really gets very hot. The central heating only gets warm too. On burn up he noticed the flame was not very high. He had a pressure tester on the boiler and told me this should go to 15 quite quickly but the build up is very very slow and the most we saw after at least 20 minutes was 13.5. I can get some more technical info from him if I'm not giving out enough. Any ideas anyone please?
