My washing machine appears to be unable to switch from the wash cycle to the rinse. It will continue to carry on washing the clothes not taking in any more water and not draining it. I have tried several cycles but they all end the same. no light are flashing and we have cleared out the filter

Has the drain hose got a kink or blockage in it?
So an APPLIANCE fault then.
Not a fault with the electrical wiring of the house.
I'll ask for this to be moved to appliances, you may get better help there.

No checked all of the inlet and outket pipes. No blockages or kinks. the wateris drining well, but i need to manually sto the wash cycle and put it onto the rinse cycle. It well the quite happily switch to spin on its own
