FCU in the bathroom?

I've seen some conflicting advice on this, so I'm hoping for a definitive answer from someone who knows - is it permissible to have an unswitched FCU outside of zones 1 and 2 (and 0 obviously) in the bathroom?

Ie, a bog standard FCU in zone 3, or the unzoned area?

I know the stock, safe answer is to try and locate it outside, but it's just not possible (or at least very, very difficult) in this case.

As a side note - if there's an existing spur in the bathroom (once used for a fan heater, now just blanked off with an old FCU), can I run a line from that to a new fan heater, possibly taking in a new shaver point along the way, without having to notify anybody or get it inspected? This would all be in either zone 3 or unzoned. Thanks in advance..
