Female Coupler 22mm x ¾ Watertight Seal.

Just a quick one if anyone can help, i'm putting a shower in and am using a female coupler like this http://www.screwfix.com/p/female-coupler-22mm-x/81402 .

Just checking (and i'm talking about the female end) i haven't overtightened it and i've just used PTFE tape and it's water tight. Is that enough? Can't find anything on internet to reassure me.
