Hi,
I had my fence redone a few months ago, all the old boards were ripped off and new featherboards attatched to existing frame
I started to notice gaps from when you look at the fence on the left from the back door. When ive measured, the boards only overlap 1cm rather than the inch that they are supposed to. Whether it was an inch to start with then they shrunk i dont know.
My question is, it has been warm and dry for 2 weeks now and the boards have been up 3/4 months. Are they likely to shrink any more and form bigger gaps? All i know is they were green treated.
Would treating them now cause them to swell slightly or even prevent further shrinking?
Thanks
