are you referring to the digital timer built in your boiler?

In which case set the left slider to 'I' and the right slider to 'auto'. The boiler is now in constant CH mode.

Is the room stat up?

many thankyous for your reply sitting in the cold i was referring the left slider i have set that to 1 now and programmed the central  heating tthn put the slider back to auto now wondering if anything will happen timed to turn on in the morning have been trying for 4 days now

If its set to 'I' then it should be on constant and overrides the timer.

Is the room stat up??

Its a thermostat usually in lounge or hallway downstairs and controls your boiler and rads when the heating is ON.

You may NOT have one.
