ferroli modena 80e hot water fluctuating on and off

Hi, I have a ferroli modena 80e. When we run a bath for instance, the hot water comes on hot and stays hot for maybe 20 secs then runs cold for a similar time (the flame goes out on the boiler) before becoming hot again. It keeps doing this until the tap is turned off. This happens upstairs and downstairs. The pressure is normal... has anyone any ideas??

Stef I checked back & 2 Thermistors from BES part number 17189 or Ferroli No. 300320 in Feb 2009 cost £15.49 that included postage.
