I have a problem with hot water all over the house.There is virtually none coming from any of the taps.Had a professional in to look and he told me it was the heat exchanger that had gone and would cost around £600 to replace.Cost me £68 for half an hours inspection.Can anyone advise me???[/b]

The boiler could be replaced for £600 plus fitting.

I am sure the HE has not "gone", surely its still there? Who would have taken it?

What ever the problem with the boiler, a reasonable firm would usually be able to fix it for not much more than £200.
