We had our bedroom walls plastered a few months ago but we decided to decorate after all renovations/building work complete. But then we had a fire in the bedroom!! After cleaning most of the mess we are left with a wax stain plus the remains of the soot stains [mostly removed with chemical sponges].
My question is should we treat the plaster with anything before attempting to decorate?? Maybe this is more of a decorating question so let me know if I should post on a different forum.
