I reformatted the old fujitsu siemens laptop, forgetting the hassle I went through when I first got it (it shipped with only a dos prompt, i had to use the recovery disc). It also ships with no wireless drivers (nessecitating the use of a memory stick and 2nd PC with web connection).

Anyway, I got it working and decided to share my printer on the wired PC. Its done this ok, but I had to disable the firewall on the host PC, which norton took great offence to and its now put a big red X in the corner of my screen.

The PC is wired to the O2 router, which has a built in firewall, so I guess I'm safe anyway? Is there any way to shut Norton up? Or is there a way around the firewall to share printers with it turned on? Cheers.

its ok i think i got it now. i had to go into firewall settings and trust my home network. :)
