Hi All,
I am getting a double stories extension in my property and have been researching about installing under floor heating for the first floor, I read that there is a "fit from below" system which consists of aluminium spreader plates fitted below the floor boards from under. This seems cost effective and less invasive.
Can anyone help understand how effective this system is ? My plumber says this since this is beneath the wooden floor boards the heat conductivity will be a bit lower and wil take longer to heat the area. He also commented that since electrical wiring will be running across joists around the same area there could be issues.
It will be helpful for me to hear reviews and comments about this system.
Regards
