Fitting a bath to tiles - silly mistake

Hello all,

I’ve been tiling the new bathroom, and I’ve made a silly mistake.

I’m fitting a bath with an over head shower, and I’ve tiled the area. I stupidly tiled all the way down to the height of the bath, rather than leaving a row off, and fitting the bath, then tiling down to it.

Is it a big f**k up?

I’m thinking I’ll just put a load of silicone onto the wall below the bottom tile, and push/heighten the bath into it.

Does anybody have any good ideas?
Cheers

Most baths have adjustable legs.
If you can (by miracle) place the bath in its place, than raise it one leg at the time until you have an even 3-4mm gap.
Squeeze silicone in the gap and quickly raise the bath to its final position.
Then smudge the excess silicone that oozes out with a suitable tool.
It's a bit of a job, but doable.
Instead, if you've gone too low with the tiles and the bath still fits (by miracle), do like europeans do and silicone it in.
If the bath doesn't fit, remove last row of tiles, fit bath and re-tile.
