I'm trying to fit a door frame to an existing studwall that tapers wider outwards towards the top

From bottom to top it is out by almost 30mm.

I am also struggling with the fact that the head plate butts with this wall, so my question is how do I know if I am fitting the frame square and true with the other jamb?

I need a fresh pair of eyes as I am struggling

fit hanging side 1st,hang the door and then fix the other side to the door.

Square the frame up before you fit it and pack it out were it needs it.

You don't appear to have door lining on yet? they just need fitting vertical and parallel.
