I want to cap off a 110mm pipe using a McAlpine DC4-BL (link):
Judging by this drawing (link):
it's likely that it would fit inside a collar which would accept a 110mm pipe, so the fins would need to compress by, maybe, an extra 5mm to fit inside a 110mm pipe.
Any advice on whether this'll work OK or, e.g., heat it up in hot water before fitting, would be gratefully received.
I can't use a cap which goes round the pipe as, when the toilet was removed, the pipe was cut by cutting through the collar as it connected to the stack so the pipe (including the collar) has an od of, maybe, 120mm.
TIA

I needn't have worried, I was concerned that the fins would try to push the plug outwards, but a good firm push was all that was needed for the plug to stay right in.
