Hi,

I've had an extension built, and i'm replacing an external door frame with an internal door frame, the doorway between the rooms has the damp course showing, can i just screw down a wooden tredplate or should i screed over the damp course?

any advice would be great

You'll probably be ok screwing down into this if it's dry underneath. I'd use a blob of silicone or a layer of bitumen felt after predrilling and inserting the plugs.
Where's the dpm for the new addition? It should've been brought up to meet this.

Thanks for that, is the layer of felt just to spread the weight when stood on?

Yeah the dpm is cut flush to the floor level that’s just been finished.
