I've got an essex flange to fit to my HWC

How far should my pipe go through the flange and into the tank?

Should I push it all the way to the bottom or does it only need to go in about 6"? This pipe will be feeding a shower (via a 1.4 bar pump)

I'd read the instructions but, you guessed it, there aren't any.

Cheers all, great forum.

No instructions suggest it's not new or someone in the shop has pinched them, go back and get a copy, you do need them, even if they photo copy it for you

You could always ask for a Techflange.
Its similar to an essex flange, but comes with the internal pipe already.
Its easier to fit, and less likely to let air out of the cylinder.
I hope this helps.
