what is the easiest way to fit the taps and pipe work for the roll top baths and baths that have the taps in the centre against the wall...???

For baths with taps along the side against the wall:

Before putting bath into position fit taps and pipework along the back and half way across the top end using soldered or compression elbows.

Put bath in position and join pipework to pipes in floor. Test pipework and joints to taps well before silicone sealing or tiling for obvious reasons.

Alternatively use taps that are fixed directly to wall above bath level with the pipework buried in the wall. You can then fully plumb them in and test l before positioning bath. You need to think about allowing for tiling when setting these types of taps
