Fitting CC WC comments please

I am intending to fit a close coupled wc in the understairs 'cupboard'. It would appear that there would be more than sufficient fall on the waste to the soil stack as the distance is only 4m, however I am concerned about introducing 2 x 90 degree bends.
The reason I want the pan 'that way around' is that it simply feels better and there is good head clearance stood in front of it that way, but even the other way there would still be 2 x 90's, albeit not turning back on themselves..

Make sure that you install some access points for rodding in the future, should you need it.

I was thinking rodding points anyway if possible...

Richard - tbh I hadnt given that a thought! Not in a nieve way but just focused on the practicals of it working.
I will have a look when ive got time later to see which appropriate building regs apply and specifics (part h particularly isnt it?) Again its not nievety just a post to get opinion on first.

Part H for drainage & rodding points are necessary under BR’s; basically you must have access from either one end of the other to clear blockages. 6m is the maximum length of unvented soil branch so you should be OK there; fall I would keep to a minimum of 25mm in 1m (1:40) slightly more if you can get it. You will also need an extract fan (Ventilation Part F) & if any of the walls are studwork & the loo is next to a habitable room you will need sound insulation; a hallway is not a habitable room. As it’s just a loo (& not a bathroom or kitchen) adding a light, switch & fan control is within DIY as long as you add to an existing lighting circuit & as long as your competent enough to do it.

You will need to submit a building notice (fee involved) & the BI will at least want to see the drain & fan instal but may ask to witness a test the new connection but unlikely. If all goaes well, LABC will issue you with a compliance certificate which you will need in the future.

Well that spells it out perfectly - I do appreciate that!

One further thought though...I would need to connect very low down on the soil stack (This proposed install is on the ground floor) probably 10 inches from the floor outside. Would there be any specific concerns or requirements here considering this is right at the base?

Lowest permissable connection to the stack is 450mm above the drain invert - the horizontal bit of the drain below the ground. If the swept bend starts at ground level, the drain invert should be at least another 200mm lower down but is likely to be far more; if your 250mm above ground level, you should be OK but you need to establish that the depth of the invert is sufficient.
