Fitting cornice on kitchen cabinets

Wondered if anyone had any top tips for fitting the cornice to the cabinets in the kitchen.

looking for a decent mitre joint but I never seem to get them very tidy and is it sufficent to glue them on with contact adhhesive ?

Oh no fancy wood involved its a magnets kitchen I;ve fitted

use mitre bond, its a 2 part adhesive, spray actavator and glue, sticks solid within about 15 secs
