use a differnt fixing.

you want a fixing for plaster board, but not toggle bolts

toggle bolts require a big hole, glue (to stick) will give way.

do it right then you only do it once

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to these kind of things, but what about wall plugs?

not in plasterboard

a rawl plug (call it what you will) is inserted into a hole drilled inot a solid piece of material, lets say a brcik.

when the screw iis scwrwed into the plug, the plug expnds gripping what ever surrounds it (the brick in this case)

if you put them in plasterboard, the only bit that will grip is the bit in the plasterboard, which is not a lot since most of the plug went through the plasterboard and is in free space

so it gives little or no strngth.

also plasterboard being comparatively soft it also "gives" so does not grip

i have now tryed all the fixings for plasterboard i could find and the screws are still spinning what am i doing wrong?
