Fitting Siemens Wireless Room Stat to Vaillant Ecotec 831

OK so I will try this then.

3 to L.
5 to N.
4 to L1

and link L to LX in the timer.

ALL OK, now what size flex cable shall I use?

Hi there, sorry for bringing up such an old thread but I was wondering if someone could help me?

I have just moved into a house with a Vaillant ecotec 831 combi boiler and a wireless Siemens RDH 10RF wireless room thermostat. I noticed that the thermostat isn't wired into the boiler, it just has 3 sets of wires hanging off it. 2 sets of the wires are connected to the receiver with 2 blue wires to N and 2 brown wires to L, the earth from both sets screwed together out side the receiver. The other wire has the blue connected to L1 and the brown to LX Could you please instruct me to connect it up to the boiler.

Do I need to connect the thermostat to the fuse switch next to the boiler or do I have to many wires?

Thanks
