A flashing digital timer display followed by an electrical crackling noise for 20 seconds then a gradual but complete loss of electrics (like the twilight zone) necssary to ignite the New World 21527 oven, left me puzzled.
However, following several tips from this site, I followed the electrics to find that the PCB (also known as the fan control board) was fried. Specifically a large resitor (R2) looked as though it had been zapped.
PCB / Fan board now replaced and all working 100%.
