Fixing Trellis to a Close Boarded Fence

Hi,

I want to fix trellis to the top a close boarded fence. The posts are flush with the top of the boards I was wondering the best way to secure it.

I can slot the trellis behind the boards and screw it to the top rail and screw each panel together.

Is there a better way?
