Hi,

I am looking at building a lean to at the side of my house and was just after a bit of advice as to which fixings to use to attach the wooden ledger/batten to the side of the house wall (brick).

I have looked at various different types, such as screw bolts, normal screws and plugs and anchors but am still unsure which to use.

I was looking at these Rawlplug framing screws as well http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-concrete-framing-screws-7-5-x-112mm-30-pack/4265f
These look idea as there is no plugs needed but can they be trusted in brick and would they take the weight and be up th the job?

Any advice recomendations would be really appreciated.

Many thanks,

Pete

Thanks, just thought as it was brick work that they might not be up to the job as brick is quite fragile?
