hi peeps has anyone had problems fitting new floatvalves in closecoupled bogs, done the job today and its bin a nightmare. im talkin bout bottom fed ones. tried fitting torbeck valve but the nut to adjust the height of valve touches the back of cistern which means the valve leans forward so you cant seal it, took that out and fitted fluidmaster, float catches on back of cistern. didnt have any more valves to try and it was getting late so i ended up filing the back of the float a little. works fine but its tighter than a nuns chuff. why do they make the hole that close to the back, am i the only one who has had this problem

yes thats what i tried first, tried many places an that was the thinest valve they had

if the nut was touching then i would of fitted a fixed height torbeck.
then the nuts not their to get in the way.
