Flush lever for an old Fordham toilet

Desperately need a flush lever for an old (possibly 70's) fordham toilet cistern. I think it a metal cistern - definately not plastic.

Problem is when it broke my housemates threw it away so i have no idea what it looked like.

It was side mounted on the right hand side of the cistern.

Thats all i can tell you.

Hope someone can help since i think i'll have to replace the toilet otherwise.

If it is the one with the chrome handle poking out of the middle of the cistern lid, then my merchant had one in stock this afternoon - tough sh1t though 'cos I've rserved for a customer tomorrow!
