I just bought an automatic ford fiesta 1.25 ghia and discovered something wrong. when i am driving the car appears to lose power while i accelerate. Also when i rev the engine the rev doesn't go pass the 2 mark on the rev meter. i have serviced the car but still the problem is them. has anyone has such problems with the ford fiesta and how did you sort it out? thanks.

Darren,

It could be one of a few things,

Engine coolant temp. sensor.
Throttle position sensor.
Mass air flow meter.
Lambda sensor.
Fuel pressure problem.
or the E.C.U. it's self.

I would change the coolant sensor first (cheapest). If that doesn't cure it have a read out done, before you start buying the more expensive parts.

;)

It sounds to me like it could well be a simple case of the ht leads shorting to the block.

The first thing I would try is a new set of leads.
